Who we are

Local use
Ruta Foto can be used without an account. In local use, your photographic ideas, photos, notes, places, location coordinates and camera information stay in the app's storage on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
Optional Cloud Sync
If you create a Cloud Sync account, Ruta Foto processes the information needed to keep your library available across your signed-in devices:
- Your email address and account identifier.
- Your photographic ideas, notes, places, precise location coordinates and related camera information.
- Photos and other images that you add to synced cards.
- A randomly generated device identifier, change timestamps and sync status needed to merge edits and prevent duplicates.
This information is linked to your Ruta Foto account and is used only to provide, secure and troubleshoot Cloud Sync.
Reference images are resized to a maximum 2,000-pixel longest side and compressed before storage. They are optimized working copies, not full-resolution originals or a replacement for a backup of your photographs.
Cloud media is stored privately behind account-based access controls. Ruta Foto does not provide a public gallery or make your synced photographs available to other users.
Purchases
Apple processes all App Store payments. Ruta Foto does not receive your payment card details or Apple Account email. We process Apple product and transaction identifiers, entitlement status and relevant purchase or expiry dates to confirm access to Pro Local and Pro + Cloud. A Pro + Cloud purchase is linked to your Ruta Foto account using an account token.
Service providers
We use service providers only where they are needed to operate Ruta Foto:
- Supabase provides account authentication, database storage and private media storage for Cloud Sync.
- Resend delivers one-time sign-in code emails.
- Apple provides App Store purchases, purchase verification and subscription management.
These providers process information under their own contractual and security obligations.
No tracking or advertising
Ruta Foto does not sell personal data, show behavioural advertising, use an advertising identifier or track you across apps and websites. We do not use third-party advertising or marketing analytics SDKs.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app, subject to any device backups you control. Cloud data remains while your account is active and as needed to operate the sync service.
You can permanently delete your Ruta Foto account and its synced cloud data inside the iPhone app: open More, choose Account & Sync, then choose Delete Account. Your local library remains on that iPhone. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions are managed separately in your Apple account.
After account deletion, we may retain a minimal pseudonymous purchase link so the same customer can restore an eligible App Store purchase and so a purchase cannot be claimed by another account. This link contains Apple transaction identifiers, the previous app account token and a keyed hash of the account email. It does not contain your photographic library, photos, notes, places or readable email address. Subscription links are used only while needed for restoration and purchase integrity; a permanent Pro purchase link may remain while that purchase is restorable.
Your choices and rights
You may use Ruta Foto locally without an account, export a complete backup, sign out of Cloud Sync or delete your cloud account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict or object to processing, or request a portable copy of personal data. Contact us at ruta-foto@xaleia.com.
Security
Cloud Sync uses encrypted network connections, private media storage and account-based access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we limit access and the information collected to what the service needs.
Children
Ruta Foto is a general photography tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Ruta Foto or its services change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
